From the canyon entrance near Meamber Creek to its confluence with the Klamath, the Scott River drops through 22 miles of Class III whitewater averaging 603 CFS. Designated Wild & Scenic and managed by the U.S. Forest Service, the Scott runs best between 300–900 CFS on gauge 11519500. The canyon entrance marks the beginning of continuous technical water that holds its character down to the Klamath confluence.
