Eleven Point River
About
Greer Spring discharges 214 million gallons daily into the Eleven Point River's middle reach, boosting flows through one of the original eight Wild & Scenic rivers designated in 1968. The 44-mile run through Oregon County averages 580 CFS with an optimal range of 300–1,500, maintaining consistent Class I–II character from Thomasville down to Highway 142. The upper 15 miles from Thomasville to Greer Crossing include the spring's entry point, while the middle section from Greer Crossing to Riverton covers 14 miles of the most protected Wild & Scenic corridor. Below Riverton, the final 15 miles cut through a lower canyon before the takeout. Mark Twain National Forest manages much of the corridor, keeping development minimal along the banks. Eleven Point Canoe Rental operates on the river for paddlers who need gear or shuttles.
River conditions are community-verified. CFS ranges, difficulty ratings, and access points may not reflect every flow level or seasonal change. Always check current conditions, scout unfamiliar rapids, and paddle within your skill level.
