Missouri River
About
Wild & Scenic designation protects 149 miles of the Missouri River through two distinct stretches managed by the Bureau of Land Management. The Upper Missouri National Wild and Scenic River corridor preserves both an upper and lower section, though specific access points and flow characteristics require coordination with BLM offices. This protected reach represents one of the few undeveloped segments remaining on the Missouri system, maintaining the river's character without the locks, dams, and channelization that define most of its length downstream.
River conditions are community-verified. CFS ranges, difficulty ratings, and access points may not reflect every flow level or seasonal change. Always check current conditions, scout unfamiliar rapids, and paddle within your skill level.
