Brodhead Creek
About
From Henryville to the Delaware confluence, Brodhead Creek flows 22 miles through Monroe County at an average 320 CFS, with optimal paddling between 100–500 CFS on gauge 01442500. The upper stretch from Henryville to Analomink carries fly fishing heritage dating to 1873, when the Henryville House became the birthplace of American dry fly fishing. This heritage water transitions through Analomink to Stroudsburg over mixed wild and stocked trout populations, then widens through the lower valley from Stroudsburg to its confluence with the Delaware. Class I-II water throughout, the Brodhead runs under the stewardship of the Brodhead Watershed Association and maintains its reputation through the Pocono Fly Fishing Heritage designation. The Brodhead Forest and Stream Association coordinates access and conservation efforts along the corridor.
River conditions are community-verified. CFS ranges, difficulty ratings, and access points may not reflect every flow level or seasonal change. Always check current conditions, scout unfamiliar rapids, and paddle within your skill level.
