Ten Mile River
About
Through Providence County, the Ten Mile River flows 15 miles of Class I water from Pawtucket down to its confluence with the Seekonk River. At 120 CFS average flow (optimal range 50–300), this urban greenway offers paddling through developed corridors before reaching tidal influence in the lower section near East Providence. The East Providence Conservation Commission manages access along the Ten Mile River Greenway. Narrow River Kayaks provides outfitting services for the run. USGS gauge 01109403 tracks conditions on water that stays manageable through most of the season, with the upper Pawtucket to East Providence stretch remaining non-tidal and the lower section influenced by Narragansett Bay tides.
River conditions are community-verified. CFS ranges, difficulty ratings, and access points may not reflect every flow level or seasonal change. Always check current conditions, scout unfamiliar rapids, and paddle within your skill level.
