Similkameen River
About
From the US border through Bureau of Land Management corridors, the Similkameen River carries an average 2,296 CFS through 27 miles of Washington state terrain. Optimal flows run between 1,150 and 3,450 CFS, monitored at USGS gauge 12442500. The river splits into three distinct sections: US border to Palmer Creek, Palmer Creek to Enloe Reservoir, and Coyote Falls to the Okanogan River confluence. BLM management typically requires coordination for access and camping permissions along these public land stretches.
River conditions are community-verified. CFS ranges, difficulty ratings, and access points may not reflect every flow level or seasonal change. Always check current conditions, scout unfamiliar rapids, and paddle within your skill level.
